Athlon: Added lots of descriptions for the classes. Please add links where I missed them

This article will attempt to give some insight into choosing a class, bear in mind that
class selection is largely a matter of personal preference and different players will have varying opinions on what constitutes the best class combinations, there is no right or wrong answer, and selection depends on a players preferred play style.

What is the best class?
There is no one best class on the game. Each class has different strengths and weaknesses, and may be better in certain situations or at defeating certain types of enemies. I.e. druids with their solar based spells are strong against undead but are extremely weak and lose a lot of their abilities when underwater or in nocast rooms. Mages maybe better against monsters that are weak to elemental attacks but their spells are useless in nocast rooms, and gain minimal hp meaning that they may be more susceptible to damage.

What class should I pick?
This is a question asked many times by newbie players, it will largely depend on your preferred play style. Remember you can reset your newbie character at any time should you make a mistake or wish to try something different. You can also create any number of new characters and class combinations. There is nothing wrong with creating a number of different characters until you find the combination right for you.

What is the best class for newbies?
As a newbie it's a good idea to try out many different classes to find the one suits your play style, there is no substitute for experience. In terms of the easiest to play, it is recommend newbies start out with the warrior or mage, these two classes represent the basic melee and magic classes respectively, and will generally be the easiest to play and understand. Necromancer is another easy class to pick up and start with because minions provide a heavy wall of safety.

What is the best class for player killing?
When combined with the best equipment, Warrior-thief seems to have a slight edge when it comes to pk. Skills such leap, charge and shadow strike work in all rooms, are difficult to avoid, and deal huge amounts of damage to opponents.

Minion Classes
Necro and druid are considered to be the two main minion classes and are at there most powerful when chosen as a first or second class, choosing them as a third or fourth undermines a lot of their minion strength, so own do so if there are compelling reasons otherwise it is best to choose them early or late in the class order. Mixing necromancer and druid is a bad idea as there is a lot of duplication and control points (the amount of minions you can have) are fixed by primary level. If you choose one high in the class order, choose the second late in the class order.

Soloing
All classes when played right can be played solo; however some are generally better and easier to solo than others. Necromancers and druids work well as solo choices; as minion classes they can effectively create their own small group and tank to protect them. They also have a range of attack spells. They also fall somewhere in the middle of hp vs mana trade-off. Depending how they are played and what other classes they are combined with, mages make a fairly poor or good solo class, because of their poor hp they tend to be more squishy and die easily, although their powerful attacks mean that they can inflict a lot of damage, blitzing through enemies quickly. Warriors make good solo choices as they are tough and can inflict a lot of damage. Thieves can take a lot of getting use to as a solo choice however they do have powerful abilities such as sneaking and backstabbing. Clerics are perhaps the weakest solo class and generally work better in groups where they can take a backseat away from the fighting providing utility support with healing, cursing and movement refresh.

Warrior
This is perhaps one of the easiest classes to play at low levels, the basic kick attack is fairly powerful and will obliterate most of the early level critters on the newbie islands. More so than any other class warriors rely heavily on having the right equipment, a weightless is a must when playing a warrior at high levels, as their weapons and equipment tend to be heavier than any other class. Mana is largely unimportant to a warrior as they have no spells instead rely on movement and hp.

Mage
Mages have some of the most powerful elemental attacks in the game. Considering the relevant elemental strengths and weaknesses of opponents is critical to working out the correct spell to use. As a third class or fourth class the mage can provide some useful utility and defensive support, as well as extra mana.

Class combinations
There are various primary and secondary class combinations. The names of the combinations are taken from the list of dual-class fighters in PK. Note that both the combination and its inverse, where the first and second classes are switched, are covered in each section, such as mage cleric and cleric mage.

The Mystic (MC)
There is some duplication in spells e.g. the cleric's flamestrike and the mage's fire attacks, but it is minimal. This is for the players who favor blasting, healing and cursing mobs all at once. Second-class clerics can still support group members well with things like groupcasting and powerful healing.
Mage Clerics have a good range of defensive spells such as sanc, faith shield, armor, shield, displacement and crystal coat that work very well in combination with each other. However, mage clerics usually end up having lackluster hp.

The Shadowmancer (MT)
Generally a tougher class to play, mt's generally have to decide how they will kill each mob, either by using mage blasting spells or their arsenal of thief skills. Second class thief allows them to sneak around well, or immobilize mobs with shadow bind. The mt is generally worse at stealing things than a dedicated thief since mage does not seem to synergize well with it. MT's also have to train more stats, as the mage class requires the use of int and wis, and the thief class benefits from dex and chr.

Spellslayer (MW)
This is for the warrior who mainly favors all out attack to defense. This class doesn't have access to a lot of minion support or tanks. The warrior part of the class also negates a lot of the mage's natural squishyness as it provides huge amounts of hp. MW's do very well soloing higher level and fame mobs as they can either use the warrior's prime selection of brutally powerful weaponry or the mage's powerful spells, though as with most caster-melee combos, extra time will need to be spend training stats to get the best mileage out of this combination.

The Archlich (MN)
This is a good option for necros, you can create minions and blast their enemies while taking cover behind tanks for protection. Mage blasting is generally weaker however, since switching to mage cast level equipment horribly weakens most minions.

Stormcaller (MD)
One of the rarely-seen class combinations, since many of the spells in both classes overlap, and many of the druid analogs of these spells require huge amounts of setup time or are otherwise restricted. For example, call lightning requires one to be outdoors with the weather cloudy, while ball lightning has less lag and is unrestricted.

The Inquisitor (CT)
A very weak choice due to the absolute lack of synergy between the classes. Having the thief as a second class severely impairs the ability to do damage and none of the cleric utility spells can increase the typical methods that thief has of dealing damage. For example, the cleric faerie fire curse lowers armor, but backstab and shadow strike, the strongest direct damage skills available to the thief, hit through armor anyway. Thief cleric is a slightly better choice, as cleric is much better as a secondary than a primary class due to its utility value.

The Crusader (CW)
This choice is for the defensive warrior, clerics have a lot of spells that work well with warriors, since warriors rely on hp and movement. The movement refresh spell group can be particularly useful for warriors who often run out of movement while fighting. The ability to heal yourself in and out of battle without consumables is also a big advantage especially with mobs that regenerate quickly. Many cleric curses, such as lethargy, faerie fire and weaken, help the warrior to do extra damage or take less while fighting. Protection spells such as armor, faith shield and sanc provide extra longevity. Stat training can be mildly annoying, as to wield those heavy weapons and hit enemies consistently, str and dex must be trained alongside wis and chr.

The Witchdoctor (CN)
CN's create minions to support themselves, then use necro spells to blast enemies down while keeping their minions healthy with heal spells. Necro is the pereferred first choice to have the strongest minions and highest damage.

The Shaman (CD)
Cleric seems to be a very popular pairing with druid because its utility spells benefit the druid and its minions, and the other options for a second casting class, mage and necro, significantly overlap with skills and spells the druid already has. Salves that can be poured onto the druid and its minions, such as barkskin or stoneskin, stack well with cleric protective spells to help reduce damage. Druid offense has a wide spread across all damage types and does respectable damage in most cases, though the lower amounts of mana that dc's generally have compared to other caster combinations can be an annoyance.

The Rogue (TW)
At high levels warrior thieves can make excellent tanks due to their high hp, and access to defense avoidance skills such as parry and dodge. TW's also make the strongest hitters, with access to some of the best hitting equipment, big heavy weapons, and a wide array of melee damage skills spanning both classes. TW's are especially potent in pk, often able to dispatch other players, even fellow TW's, in two or three hits of their weapons.

The Voidwalker (TN)
Extremely rare

The Ranger (TD)
extremely rare

The Death Knight (WN)
WN's create weak minions to assist them in battle and occasionally take a few hits for them while they fire off strong attacks in their hitting sets. Since they are not in necrocast sets all their minions are generally weaker, but they are usually doing the majority of the damage themselves using power attacks combined with bulky weaponry. WN's have acceptable endurance and can increase it with a strong bone shield and bone armor if needed.

The Mountain Man (WD)
The Cropkiller (ND)
Item load, or simply "load", refers to the item(s) that become available to be looted once a mob has been defeated. Once a mob dies, items will appear either inside their corpse or on the ground. Many items do not load every time a mob is defeated.

Normal load
These items load with normal stats, as compared to random stats.

Random load
These items have stats that can be slightly or completely different from normal loading stats.

Item Quality
Some items load with more powerful stats than usual, or with the potential of being [[reforge]reforged] with powerful stats. These possibilities are indicated by the item quality flag. The higher the item quality flag, the more powerful the item is. The quality flags, from least valuable to most, is:

*well made
*exceptional
*mastercraft
*mastercraft level 2
*mastercraft level 3

Binding load
These are loads that once taken can only be used by the character or the character's account. Many people empty the corpses of mobs that have binding equipment, identify it, and decide which of their characters needs the item, if they have more than one. Before emptying a corpse, all items that do not bind must be removed from it.

On-death load
This is a load that will only generate once the mob has been killed as opposed to one that is generated when the mob first repops. Death load items sometimes load in the corpse of the mob, but more often load on the ground. Always check botht he ground and the corpse to make sure that you don't mis death load items.

item loads in containers
Some items load in containers as opposed to on mobs. most containers will eventually decay and will repop with the next area repop cycle after they have decayed. Some containers may be sacrificed in order to force a repop. However, a number of containers, especially those containing powerful items, are unable to be sacrificed.
This skill allows you to charge at an opponent, either to quickly start combat or change targets quickly in battle. You cannot charge at a target you are currently fighting in melee combat, as they are too close to charge. This skill costs a high amount of movement.

Similar to the skill Bash, successful charges can knock the opponent to the ground. Opponents can also avoid the charge and get an extra opportunity to counteract while you are off balance.

Notes
* This skill can be used in combos with Battle Tactics
* This skill seems to ignore armor, dealing consistent damage to most similar-sized targets. Smaller targets take more damage and have a greater chance of being tripped.
* Some skills, such as charge and backstab, start combat and can only be used at the start of a combination
* Some skills, such as disarm and berserk, will only appear once in a combination
* As your tactics skills improve, you will unlock longer combinations
* Skills must be successfully performed to learn new moves in a combination
* Not all skills need to be successfully performed to complete a combination - for example, a failed leap may still trigger the combination
* The maximum combo length for low tactics is 7
* The maximum combo length for advanced tactics is 8
* The maximum combo length for cross-class tactics is 8
* You can get one length 8 combo consisting of advanced tactics and two in cross-class tactics for a maximum total of three 8 length combos

Eligible Skills
Battle Tactics
These skills can appear in 'tactics low' combos:
* Leap
* Lunge
* Kick
* Bash
* Charge
* Riposte
* Feint
* Taunt
* Stomp
* Pommel Strike
* Jab

Advanced Tactics
These skills can appear in 'tactics advanced' combos, along with the above skills:
* Intimidate (Note: you must specifically target a mob. intimidating a room does not trigger or help to complete the combo, even if mobs are intimidated by it.)
* Disarm
* Berserk
* Whirlwind
* Cleave

Cross-Class Tactics
These skills can appear in 'tactics cross' combos, along with the above skills:
* Trip
* backstab
* Bloodletting Stab
* Dirt Throwing
* Shadow Bind
* Shadow Strike
* Knife Throwing

Bonuses
When executing combos you get bonuses for executing long chains which temporarily boost the following stats. The bonuses can stack:
* Attacks
* Armor
* Strength
* Dexterity
* Parry
* Hitroll
* Damroll
* Dodge
* Warrior Skill Level

Extra Bonuses
When you receive an extra bonus, you get the extra bonus in addition to one of the bonuses above.
Any movement or hitpoints received boost your current stats only.
You can receive more than one extra bonus at a time.
* Movement
* Hit points
*morale
In addition to the stat bonuses you also receive some experience, making executing combos worthwhile most of the time.

Hints
You pretty much only learn new parts of combinations by doing them in groups of three. For example, if you have a piece of a combination that uses kick then riposte, you'll want to try patterns like "bash kick rip bash". This will check for two groups of three at the same time - The first part of the pattern will check for "bash kick rip", and the second part will check for "kick rip bash".
The healing powers of clerics are widely known, but some have claimed to
be witness to the ultimate in healing - bringing people back from the dead.
It is said that with the right training, and the right knowledge of heal
spells in general, one can learn the art of resurrection.

Some magic places are so powerful that even the power of resurrection can't
bring the person back to where they died, so a wise cleric will be aware of
their surroundings.

You must be grouped with your target to resurrect them, and when resurrected
the target gains back some amount of lost experience. Some players consider
it to be a very, very powerful summon - guaranteed to pull the dead player
from wherever to rejoin the party, only slightly worse for wear.

Weightless containers are containers that you can place objects into. Any object placed into them has no weight, and will therefore not bog down the character using the container. A character can normally carry only about 500 pounds of weight, and with the great variety of objects used in the game, a weightless container is invaluable.

Weightless containers come in two types, permanent weightlesses and tensor's floating discs, also called tensors.

Permanent weightless
The permanent weightless is a credit purchase. The initial fee is 2500 credits for a 500-pound container, with 20-pound expansions priced at 100 credits each. When you buy your weightless for the first time, you must choose from a number of default names for it. These include:

*An icy vortex
*a vortex of shadows
*a shadowy vortex
*a portable hole
*a pocket dimension
*an unlimited black sack
*a weightless bag
*a magic mirror
*a blue dragonhide bag
*a portable mage's closet
*a plaid dragonhide bag
*an unassuming red bag
*a bone collector's bag
*a small black hole

You can ask dentin to change the name to something else of your choice for a price of 1000 credits.

The weightless container is 50 feet in size, meaning that it can store almost anything. If you have a lot of equipment, you will quickly fill the 500 pound initial limit, which means you'll have to spend more credits to increase it.

Tensor's Floating Disc
An alternative to the permanent weightless is the Tensor's floating disc spel, learnable at level 19 mage. When cast, a temporary weightless is created, with a random size and capacity. Note that the random size may mean that some larger items, such as powerful weapons, may not fit inside. Higher cast level will increase the average size and capacity of your tensor, but not the duration that it lasts. When the tensor expires, all the items that were inside will go back into your inventory. If you had more than 100 items in a popped tensor, you will find that you are carrying so many items that you cannot move. You will have to recast the tensor to be able to move again.

Tensors can be fairly dangerous. If a tensor pops while you are in an intense fight, you may be unable to retreat due to the items you are carrying. Also, it is just a nuisance to have to watch your tensors and recast them all the time, as the tensor spell costs 48 mana.

; Usage : (While grouped) tank

Tanks are usually heard of in the context of a group, where the tank
will be the character with the most protective armor and defensive
skills. The tank typically takes the bulk of the damage in combat,
protecting the mages and spellcasters while they prepare spells.

The tanking skill is used by warriors to protect their group. To
enable the skill, use the 'tank' command while grouped.

A warrior with the tanking skill will automatically attempt to rescue
members of the party and protect them from melee combat. Multiple
tanks can be used simultaneously to more effectively protect group
members.

Notes
* For areas with many wandering/aggressive mobs, more than one tank will keep your group alive. A tank can only rescue one person at a time, and if a multitude of mobs are massacring members, additional tanks can rescue them faster.
* Tanks can reduce the amount of experience your group gets so only have as many as you need.
*Skill level: Higher skill levels decrease the time it takes for the tank to rescue other group members.

Backstab is a thief skill where you sneak up on your opponent and stab them
in the back with a dagger or other piercing weapon. After backstabbing,
the attacker is lagged for a short time.

Note that backstab is not totally effective on many creatures. Skeletal
creatures are nearly immune, while creatures that are injured (HP at 30% to 90%) are generally
much more aware and harder to sneak up on. Creatures who hav 0-29% hp, or 91-100% hp, are far more likely to be successfully stabbed. In PK, injured targets (30-90% HP) have about a 50% chance of being backstabbed as compared to a far lower (About 6%) for mobs.

Things that affect stabs
*Dexterity: High dexterity will help you to make your backstab land more often, and low dexterity can hinder your backstab considerably.
*Thief skill level: Thief skill level increases the damage multiplier of your backstab. A higher damage multiplier, as a side note, does not increase or decrease the chance of landing a freak backstab.
*Damroll: damroll ups the initial damage of a successful stab.
*Weapon speed: a weapon with a faster speed will recover from backstabbing far more quickly than a slower one. This is very important as backstab lag causes a player to take a lot of damage.
*Hiding: Hiding will slightly increase backstab damage, though be aware that you will instantly be revealed once the stab is initiated.

Freak backstab
Some of the most exciting moments in the life of a backstabber is when he or she gets a freak stab. Freak stabs take the damage that would normally have been dealt, and multiply it by a random power of 2 between 1 and 7. Any backstab multiplied by 8 or higher will be broadcast to the entire mud. Freak stabs on the higher end of the scale (32) are fairly rare, while freak 8 and freak 16 happen once or twice a day. For stabs above freak 32, the lucky thief will receive a practice. For any freak stab, he will also gain a higher-than-normal amount of xp.
Many previous freak backstabs can be seen on board 10, the hall of trophies.
This skill allows you to tap into your body's hidden energy reserves, recovering movement. It can be performed at any time, as long as you have had enough time to rest in between uses.
* If you fail to use the skill the recovery time is much shorter than if you had succeeded
*Skill level: The skill has a higher chance of working and recovers a higher percentage of movement with skill level. The skill still has a chance to fail at 100%.

Athlon:

In April of 2012, a new gigantic area opened, called Lufia's Folly. The area is huge and has tons of hard mobs to challenge you. It also has many pieces of equipment that aren't too bad. This guide will attempt to walk you through the area. We'll stop at the most important parts, skip the least important, and leave you, the reader, to explore it on your own to find the hidden secrets as well.
Note: Spoilers will be clearly marked. Skip them if you want to figure out the tough parts of the area.

Getting to the area
Your first order of business is to get into the area. From the deserted chapel wp go
s;s;s;s;s;s;se;s;s;s;s;s;e;s;s;s;s;s;s;s;s;e;se;s;s;s;s;s;s;s;e;e;e;
You can just copy and paste that string of directions into any mud client, and it will speedwalk you there. Nifty huh

Garden subarea
Once you arrive at the first room, go 5 north. Then you have a choice of ways.

right path
This path is pretty simple, and pretty pointless. Head east to go down it. South is a pillar of white ivory that turns you back to the forking of the paths, and north takes you to a jaguar statue. This statue does not give you anything useful. It's probably time to go back to the fork of the paths and continue with the guide, though the long descriptions are fairly well done here. Look at all the stuff.

Left Path
Let's go to the left path. Head west to start the left path. After heading west again, you'll hit an intersection in which you can go north or west. South leads you back to the entrance of the maze. East takes you back the way you came.

Going west again will eventually end you up at a statue room. Search and open the statue. Under the statue are some mustard jellies that are not aggro and a pillar that loads the eye of akasha on it. Take this; you will actually want two of them. Luckily, they save, so you can farm them as much as you want.

Going north from the intersection takes you through a couple twists with aggro mobs in them. The cats do not attack you if you have at least 29 charisma and since they are annoyance mobs, it might be worth your while to have the presence spell up.

A new four-way intersection will show up. East takes you to the angel statues and the energy field, which is your next place of interest. North and south take you other places, so check them out. It's interesting.

The garden has a door that leads you into the next part of the maze, but to get through you need to get the key from the energy field. This requires you to get 4 keys and 2 eyes of akasha and hand them to the statues who will then hand you 2 more keys which you hand to the field. SInce this part is completely unintuitive, We'll go through it step by step.

From energy field, go e, e, s, e. You will find a random shopkeeper dude and a young mage. The mage loads a nice 25% zap save ring if you need it. Talk to her to get a clue about advancing through the area.

Go back the way you came and go north from the stream. You will find yourself in a haze with a bunch of exits. None of these advances you though and this is where the hint from the mage comes in.

SPOILER
Leave yourself
End of spoiler

Haze subarea
Head east from where you are dropped. Heading south will take you back into the haze. West is a dead end. More 29 chr aggro mobs so keep your presence up. These mobs are a bit different but still mostly for annoyance purposes.

another east and you will arrive at a forked path. Head south to visit the tangle of roots, which is, again, another distraction. Don't be scared. There is a way back, but you will have to search to find it.

Head north 4 to get to the fountain, which is the center of activity for this part of the area. The soul guardian is a fun fame mob.

the north path
Let's try the north path first. Head west and kill the wolf. He loads a key that will come in useful. Head to the northeast corner of the square to fight the sea tortoise statue, but he won't load anything so it is kind of pointless except for a bit of exp. Sadly, the north exit dead ends you again. Yep, there's a lot of those.

The broad eastern path
South is a salamander statue. ill him to get another key that wil come in handy. If you continue along this path you will get to a room called deciding about an intersection. Head 2n and you will run into a bit of fog and some sparrowhawks. Kill or retreat past those then kill the ooze, because it blocks the way. Head east, and grab the teardrop from the water pillar, then head back.

From deciding about an intersection, head 4s e and unlock the door. The key is the swirling sphere by the way. Grab the ember from the pillar. you can also sac the sphere now because you won't need it anymore. The ember will save unlike most of the other keys so you can keep it even when logging off, though if you plan to open the center of the maze, you will have to run a another to replace the one you give in. Really, it's far easier to teleport in to the area than to go in the normal way.

The broad western path
Head 3w and you will encounter a 2 way intersection. Head 2n and you will see another two way intersection. Head 2w n and you will find a tangle of reds which the forked rod unlocks. INside the room that you unlocked is a pillar with the earth stone on it. Unlike the ember, the gemstone doesn't save.

from the last intersection head 3s 2w and you will be in a room with an adventurer in it. Kill him for his scepter, which has 3 charges of holy weapon on it. If you don't need it, there's no other point to killing him. The kimodo dragon is nasty though. Try and avoid him at all costs. You can sneak or rush past him before he spots you to reach the adventurer room.

Jobs are a form of repeatable daily quests that involve finding and collecting various items for mob collectors e.g. rare spell components for alchemists. Items can be virtually anywhere and are sometimes difficult to find. To complete jobs it is helpful to have good knowledge of where various items load across the mud, as well as knowing scryer spells like locate object.

Added in June 2013, jobs are still a relevantly new and experimental feature of alter aeon and may be subject to change over they coming months.

Timeout
Once a job for a mob is completed it can not be completed again for 8 hours.

Commands
* job find shows mobs that might have jobs available
* job list list any jobs for the current mob
* job list <no> detail of specific job
* job accept <no> accept job
* show job shows number of jobs completed

Reward
one experience cap and a small amount of gold

Leaderboard
A new leaderboard, 16, was added to track which players have completed the most random jobs. It is still relatively easy to gain a spot on the top 50.

Mephit quest
Talking to the red mage in the town of Zin revealed the following in the build up to the main event.

This is a repeatable quest where players are required to find mephits, kill them and bring the resulting ash back to the red mage for analysing. Players were rewarded with a couple hundred gold and an xp cap.

Mephit ash
Once a mephit is located and destroyed it will leave behind its ash. This item has multiple uses as well as being able to be given to the Red mage to aid his research in exchange for gold and xp quest reward, it can also be used to brew potions or make bombs. Some entrepreneurial players have even been seen trying to sell ash on auction usually for a starting price of about 500 gold.

Note the mephit ash does not last forever it's condition will degenerate over time, it is therefore advisable to use it as soon as possible before it disappears.

Fire invasion counterattack
The main event started June 21 at 5pm server time, several groups ran the event and shadowfax led a group so that lower level players could also participate.

A temporary portal to the Ethereal Plane of Fire was found one up from the zin waypoint. Groups of player fought their way through the area, which was loaded with various fire elementals and other evil sky-creatures. The boss mob was Perenius the Demonlord, who, upon his death, launched the second stage of the quest.

Players then searched for the entrance to the second area, which was quickly located in the northwestern Northern Ocean. Inside this area, which was the innards of a giant machine, players fought their way to the Scalding Lord, the root of all the trouble. Upon the death of the scalding lord, all players received a cloak of flames as a reward for completing the quest.

Item: 'cloak flames fire'
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The fire elementals found widespread across the mainland are now attacking
on sight. You will need to take precautions when encoutering them.
Since fire plane creatures continue to encroach upon this world, we can
assume that what is taking place is no less than a prelude to a full scale
invasion. The Church of Shadowfax is actively searching for a reasonable
means of stopping the elementals at their source. We should have a
solution very soon.
In the mean time, the Red Mage continues to collect mephit leavings for use
in this research. You can help by bringing him some.
(The fire invasion counterattack will begin on Friday, June 21st at 7pm.

Subject: Fire Plane Invasion!
That is 10pm system time. After the event, the invasion areas will remain
open over the weekend so that everyone has a chance to play through them.)
Uuids on any piece of equipment can be learned using the insult command if you know any other keyword for the equipment. I could also use just the first three letters of the uuid. Uuids are unique enough that the first three letters almost always suffice to reference the correct piece.

mobs
A builder uses uuid's to reference mobs in his or her area. Each uuid is treated as a different kind of mob by the mud, even if the mobs on each uuid are exactly the same. However, the global exp thwacker keeps an eye on how many times each kind of mob is killed, and penalizes players if they kill too many of the same type of mob. Therefore, many builders place just a few mobs on each uuid so that the xp will stay high. Older areas suffer from the fact that all their mobs are on the same uuid, causing them to be thwacked quickly.

Note: unlike object UUID's, players cannot see the UUID's for mobs.
Since this attack generally uses the hilt of a weapon, and the hilts are generally unenchanted, this attack does blunt damage and does not work against ethereal creatures.
* This skill can be used in combos with Battle Tactics

A feint is a 'fake' attack meant to mislead your opponent and make them more vulnerable to followup attacks. This skill allows you to use feints in battle.

If you successfully feint, your enemy will be open to an attack of opportunity, and will have a harder time dodging or parrying blows.

Enemies with a high dexterity compared to yours will be harder to feint, and enemies that are smarter than you are will also be harder to feint. Note that truly stupid, unintelligent entities are completely unaffected by feints, as they lack the intelligence to plan ahead.

Also, if your enemy is fighting multiple targets, it may not notice your feint, essentially acting as a failure.

Notes
* This skill can be used in combos with Battle Tactics
* Feinting uses your weapon as a main source of damage; i.e. feinting with a cloak is far less effective than a sword
The hitroll increase from the spell is based on the cleric cast level of the caster.
* Cast at levels 10-19 gives 2 hitroll
* Cast at levels 30-39 gives 4 hitroll
* Cast at levels 40-99 gives 5 hitroll
* Cast at level 100 and over gives 11 hitroll, plus 1 for every 10 levels the cleric has over 100

Tips
their attack combinations. New combinations are usually discovered once a fighter leaves a battle, when he has time to think and analyze what just happened.

Mechanics
After learning the skill try to use different skills during battle and after the fight is over you may get a notification that you learned a combo. Executing tactics low will show you a screen like this:

Showing you that you know the two middle skills in the 4 part combo.

Details
* The minimum combo length is 3
* The maximum combo length is 8
* You won't get the same skill twice in a row
* You won't get the same skill twice separated by another skill

Bonuses
When executing combos you get bonuses for executing long chains which temporarily boost the following stats. The bonuses can stack:
* Attacks
* Movement
* Hit points

This will check for two groups of three at the same time - The first part of the pattern will check for "bash kick rip", and the second part will check for "kick rip bash".

; Usage : berserk

Called the 'blood fever' by many, it is a barely controllable rage that can take hold of a warrior in battle and make him a fearsome, uncaring opponent. Those under the influence of the skill attack without fear and often without reason, wanting only to do as much damage as possible.

Berserking fighters will also take on multiple targets at the same time, attacking whenever an opportunity presents itself. Berserking is most effective when there are many smaller targets to choose from.

The skill is not without disadvantages however - the warrior does not think clearly and is blinded by rage to the extent that killing is all they are capable of doing. As a result, their armor class is reduced while at the same time their attacks become more powerful. Spellcasting is completely out of the question, and fleeing is highly unlikely. Often a berserking fighter is only stopped by his death, or the death of his opponents.

Tips
* This skill can be used in advanced combos with Battle Tactics
* Berserking fighters continuously lose movement, even when not using skills. To keep fighters berserking for longer, it is necessary to have a Cleric with Area Refresh, to be wearing equipment with move regen on it, or to use Second Wind
* Berserking just after one of your fellow group members dies can activate Revenge even if you were not actively berserking when he or she was killed.
This skill allows a warrior to sacrifice some of their hit points to enter a trance-like state, making them immune to fear spells,
fear effects, and dragonfear.

Notes
* This skill is useful on both tanks, to avoid running and leaving the group unprotected, and hitters, to avoid running into other aggressive mobs.
*This skill requires a cutting weapon to be wielded in order to make the blood trail that starts the trance.
