It was setup and organized by the god and world builder Shadowfax as a mini-event and followed on from Summer Solstice 2015 by reopening the puzzlewood forest survival area. Subject: LABOR DAYBOR MINI-EVENT
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
For the Labor Daybor Mini-event, there will once again be ninety waves of
monsters to fight. There is a legacy quest for completing every tenth wave
of the Puzzlewood area, up to the ninetieth. These quests will be awarded
once the following wave is started. For example, the twentieth wave quest
will be awarded when the altar is activated to begin the twenty-first wave.
None of these are dependent on one another, so they can be done in any
order. Each quest will reward you with a wand of disbelief: a wand of
high-level curse ward.
Also, each of the gods running Death Marches through the event area will
have their own legacy quest to award to participants. Check the 'event
schedule' for details.
Other changes to the Puzzlewood area since the Summer Solstice Celebration
include:
The group size for the event area has been reduced from ten to seven. As
such, each of the waves should be easier, and it should allow greater
flexibility for players to run them.
The size of the area has been cut in half, and all of the rooms are now
permalit. In addition, the rooms have been changed from big to small to
make moving around easier.
In general, things will be more fast and loose than the Summer Solstice
survival trial. There's no contest prize at stake this time around.
If time permits, Kagome and I will try and get an area or two released over
the weekend for you to play in, too. Have fun!
Current Event Information
------------------------------------------------------------------
An encore presentation of the Puzzlewood survival area will begin on
Saturday, September 5th and will be available throughout the Labor Day
weekend until the morning of Tuesday, September 8th. Special legacy quests
for completing milestone waves will be available, and several gods have
volunteered to perform Death Marches, each with their own legacy quest.
This event is for high-level players. If you're still playing on Sloe,
Kordan or Archais, you'll probably get creamed.
See board 8 for details about the event area.

Show or brag can be used to display information about a character. The only difference is that brag sends the information to a channel while show displays the information privately on screen.

Syntax
Brag
brag <optional channel> <options> example brag gt armor

If no channel is specified say channel is used.

Show
show <options> example show armor

You have an armor class of 98.

Multiple options
Brag and show allows multiple options seperated by a space example brag armor combat

Shortening
As with many of the commands in alter aeon show and brag can be shorted e.g. sh skl cor works just the same as show sklevel corpsecutter.

* weight
* inventory
* carried

Switches added in 2016
In 2016 Shadowfax added many more new brag and show switches including:- achievements, combat points, newbie points, explorer points, race, birthday, poisoned, thirst, hunger, sneak, recall, temperature, spent experience, lost experience, clan, nomelee, wimp, nogroupcast, time, day, month, year, score, rank, friends, nokillsteal, room, area, allies, foes, gridle, lowhp, lowmana, lowmove, gwhere, missing, sky and sun.

Charmed mobs or minions
It may be possible to get a minion to brag information about themselves using order brag <commands>. Not all mobs are capable of this for example a wood woad which is just a bunch of animated sticks has no intelligence and is unable to talk therefore can't be ordered to brag.

Use in groups
Brag is useful in group situations where members want to impart information quickly about their character. This can be done using brag gt <commands>

Item load, or simply "load", refers to the item(s) that may become available to be looted once a particular event occurs, such as when a mob has been defeated. Items may load in various locations usually either in a corpse, on the ground, in a players inventory, or sometimes in a container, for example a chest. Each item has a probability of loading and a probability of randomizing, if the probability of loading is below 100%, the item will not load every time and may require a mob to be killed several times before it becomes available.

Normal load
These items load with normal stats as defined by the builder.

Random load
see Random

These items have stats that can be slightly or completely different from normal loading stats.

Item Quality
Some items load with more powerful stats than usual, or with the potential of being reforged with powerful stats. These possibilities are indicated by the item quality flag. The higher the item quality flag, the more powerful the item is. The quality flags, from least valuable to most, is:

*well made
*exceptional
*mastercraft
*mastercraft level 2
*mastercraft level 3

Binding load
These are loads that once taken can only be used by the character or the character's account. Many people empty the corpses of mobs that have binding equipment, identify it, and decide which of their characters needs the item, if they have more than one. Before emptying a corpse, all items that do not bind must be removed from it. When running in a group care should be taken avoid looting binding items without first checking with the group leader.

On-death load
This is a load that will only generate once the mob has been killed as opposed to one that is generated when the mob first repops. Death load items sometimes load in the corpse of the mob, but more often load on the ground. Always check both the ground and the corpse to make sure that you don't miss death load items.

Container load
Some items load in containers as opposed to on mobs. most containers will eventually decay and will repop with the next area repop cycle after they have decayed. Some containers may be sacrificed in order to force a repop. However, a number of containers, especially those containing powerful items, are unable to be sacrificed.

Quest load
Loads on completion of a quest or quest stage. Most quest load items load into a players inventory. If an items is required to advance a quest stage, it may be quest flagged, which acts as a fail safe to prevent it been given to the wrong mob.

Max load
This is the remains of an old system of loading where only a maximum number of items could be loaded at any one time.

Backstab is a thief skill where you sneak up on your opponent and stab them
in the back with a dagger or other piercing weapon. After backstabbing,
the attacker is lagged for a short time.

Note that backstab is not totally effective on many creatures. Skeletal
creatures are nearly immune, while creatures that are injured (HP at 30% to 90%) are generally
much more aware and harder to sneak up on. Creatures who hav 0-29% hp, or 91-100% hp, are far more likely to be successfully stabbed. In PK, injured targets (30-90% HP) have about a 50% chance of being backstabbed as compared to a far lower (About 6%) for mobs.

Things that affect stabs
*Dexterity: High dexterity will help you to make your backstab land more often, and low dexterity can hinder your backstab considerably.
*Thief skill level: Thief skill level increases the damage multiplier of your backstab. A higher damage multiplier, as a side note, does not increase or decrease the chance of landing a freak backstab.
*Damroll: damroll ups the initial damage of a successful stab.
*Weapon speed: a weapon with a faster speed will recover from backstabbing far more quickly than a slower one. This is very important as backstab lag causes a player to take a lot of damage.
*Hiding: Hiding will slightly increase backstab damage, though be aware that you will instantly be revealed once the stab is initiated.

Avoiding backstabs
There is no surefire way to avoid backstabs however it may be possible to reduce the chances of been hit and the damage impact by:-
* increasing armor/hp
* casting sense life
* creating extra targets like skeleton spider minions
* increasing dex
* sneaking and hiding
* casting crystal coat

Freak backstab
Some of the most exciting moments in the life of a backstabber is when he or she gets a freak stab. Freak stabs take the damage that would normally have been dealt, and multiply it by a random power of 2 between 1 and 7. Any backstab multiplied by 8 or higher will be broadcast to the entire mud. Freak stabs on the higher end of the scale (32) are fairly rare, while freak 8 and freak 16 happen once or twice a day. For stabs above freak 32, the lucky thief will receive a practice. For any freak stab, he will also gain a higher-than-normal amount of xp.
Many previous freak backstabs can be seen on board 10, the hall of trophies.

Virtuoso: /* Buying and selling in bulk */

The soulstone market is a place where users can buy and sell soulstones. The market acts as a middleman between the buyers and sellers and keeps a count of the number of soulstones available. That means the market matches buyers and sellers up automatically via its middleman strategy. The soulstone market was first created in August 2012 after players started to lockup auction by selling a large number of soulstones one at a time.

Commands
To access the soulstone market, type sm with no arguments. You will get a list of commands you can use.

buy
sm buy <color> lets you buy a soulstone of the color you choose. You must have gold on hand to buy the stone.

sell
sm sell <color> allows you to sell a soulstone. Usually you can only sell 2 or 3 soulstones per tick.

list
sm list lists buy and sell prices for all colors of stones. Sell prices are always 75% of buy prices.

Buying and selling in bulk
The market works by building up a stockpile of stones. Therefore, it may not always be possible to buy or sell certain colors, and players may need to wait for the market to recover before buying or selling again. To buy and sell a large amount of stones, players might be better off trying to find a private buyer or seller.

Supply and demand
As like most markets the soul market works on the principles of supply and demand. If there are a lot of buyers for a particular colored stone and few sellers the price will go up, the reverse is of course is true. It is possible for lower level stones to be worth more than higher level stones.

Liquidity
When the code was first created there was a bug which meant liquidity was not been calculated correctly. As a temporary measure Dentin put in code that limited the buying and selling of soul stones to a maximum of 12 in any one cycle.
